Prompts for the basic cycle

Use these with an assistant that can read your project files. The assistant asks and waits. It does not invent customers, quotes, money, percentages, or any other number. If a number is missing, it writes unknown.

Replace the file names if you keep the sheets somewhere else. The names below match templates/.

1. Forecast, goal, or bet

Study the idea and the project description. Do not invent numbers or facts.

First ask me: "In one sentence, whose life, and which concrete problem, do you want this service to make easier?" Wait for my answer.

Then write one desired future in three versions: a forecast, a goal, and a bet. Do not label them.

Ask me to name the type of each sentence and wait. Then explain the differences and ask me to choose or rewrite the bet.

Write into the bet document only my chosen draft, the known basis, and what is unknown. Mark it as a first attempt. Do not change other documents.

2. Kind of future and the price of the bet

Study the idea, the project description, and the current bet document.

Ask me one question at a time: which kind of future I choose; which result and date I treat as the bet; why it matters; what I personally put in; what I can lose.

If the kind of future is unclear, offer the status "research project / value check". If a number is unknown, leave the word "unknown". Do not propose a number in my place.

Show a short record and wait for confirmation. Then add a section "Kind of future and the price of the bet" to the bet document. Do not change other documents.

3. L-shaped frame

Study the idea, the project description, and the bet document.

Help me build the L-shaped frame of the basic level. Do not fill all 35 cells.

Step 1. The Business line. Ask me for bets on five horizons: 3–5 years, 1 year, quarter, month, and week. On the 3–5 year horizon, allow a qualitative picture if exact numbers do not exist. Leave unknowns as the word "unknown".

Step 2. This week's cut. Offer two or three more categories for this week (Customer: whom we write to and what reply we expect; Product: what we show; Founder: how many hours we put in). Wait for my answer.

Step 3. The link. Ask one question: how this week's result moves the month's result in Business.

After I confirm, save the frame in the bet document under "L-shaped frame". Do not change other documents.

4. Find one weak spot

Study the bet document and the six rules: honest uncertainty; horizons are checks; facts beat the plan; seven categories form a net; roles meet on the week; you manage confidence, not a task list.

Find at most three places where the draft presents an unknown as a fact, does not link the week to the month, or does not explain an arrow.

For each place, ask one question. Wait for my choice: fix it, keep it as a bet, or mark it unknown.

Apply only the change I choose, and add one line "Why we changed the draft". Do not change other documents.

5. Week sheet and journal

Study the main bet. If a causal map or a metric draft exists, take it into account. If it does not, rely only on the bet and the project materials.

1. Build the week sheet:
- the week's bet and the personal actions of the roles (Business, Product, Sales);
- the sample size (n out of N), the success threshold, and the guardrail (spend, breakage, time);
- owners and the deadline of Friday, 18:00.

2. Build the bet journal:
- the date of the check and the week's bet;
- the current status ("No data yet. The test has not finished.");
- empty fields for what was learned and for the next shared decision.

Show the drafts. After I confirm, save the week sheet and the journal. Do not change other documents.
